The "Original-Pfauter" Automatic Gear Hobbing Machine No. 00, built by Hermann Pfauter of Chemnitz in about 1929, cut spur, worm and spiral gears with a hob.
This exhibit shows how the machine works and how a hob generates the teeth of a gear.
