This is the "Original-Pfauter" Automatic Gear Hobbing Machine No. 00, built by Hermann Pfauter of Chemnitz and described in an English leaflet of about 1929. The leaflet calls it a machine "for generating spur, worm and spiral gears by means of Hobs".
